A location; a country. Egypt lies at the northeastern corner of Africa. It is considered part of the Arab world. It is mostly covered by the Sahara desert. It controls the Sinai Peninsula, though Israel also claims this. The Ancient Egyptians, known for their pyramids, lived in what is now Egypt, mostly along the Nile, the longest river on Earth, which reaches the shore in Egypt.
