Indigo Milkcap

The Indigo Milkcap (Lactarius indigo) is a species of agaric fungus in the family Russulaceae.

An edible mushroom; this mushroom is recognized by its blue skin colour and the latex/milk it oozes is of an identifiable indigo-blue colour.

It is also known as Indigo (or blue) Lactarius or Blue Milk Mushroom.

Distribution/habitat

Widespread and found native in the European continent.
