Purple Swamphen

Based on the genetic analysis of García-R. and Trewick (2015)[1] and the earlier papers by Sangster (1998)[2] and Sangster et al. (1999)[3], the Purple Swamphen, Porphyrio porphyrio has been split into 5 species:[4]
